Turn off UAC – this is generally a bad idea. But if you know what you are doing it is pretty easy.
start> control panel>user accounts
click turn user account control on or off
uncheck, hit ok and reboot
To get rid of the warning that now pops up (also not a good idea)
start>control panel> Security Center
click “change the way security center alerts me”
Don’t notify me and don’t display the icon (not recommended)
Now you can do things that UAC blocks. You also don’t have a good tool to enforce privilege separation.
